LeadStarDude - Thank you for the reply. I was at that site - it is the Uplay site (I can logon in, but I can't find a way to launch my games), but not Uplay iteslf.
The orange download tab in the upper right leads to another page that offers Uplay experiences across a bunch of platforms, except for PC. I cannot locate an installer for the PC version.

Either I am being dumb (which is entirely possible) or this truly is a stupid model by Ubisoft (which is also possible). So, as it stands, I have about 4 games I can't play because I don't have Uplay.
I can start them to reinstall Uplay, because, well, they won't start! I can't locate Uplay to download and launch either. What a conundrum. I don't want to uninstall a game and reinstall a game just so I can be prompted to install Uplay.
Any other suggestions? Originally posted by:umm i see three places on the page Leadstar posted that say Download Uplay on PC maybe learn to read a webpage before you complain? One is right next to sign in FFS!! At the top of the page!! Scroll to the bottom of the page you'll see 2 more. Once you sign in.you can't locate the download button anywhere.
If you scroll to the bottom of the page it still has a download link that says DOWNLOAD UPLAY ON PC on the right side of the page even if you are logged in.please look again.once again. Please learn how to read a webpage. Originally posted by:Go to this folder '.

Run it and let it update. EDIT: I had no trouble finding the installer through that orange tab on the site. It takes you down the page and there's a link to 'Dowload Uplay on PC'.
Here it is anyway: It's more up to date than the one in your game folder. You, you are the real MVP.

Cryptographers and people very known to cracking scene have said they wouldn't put any hope of UWP games getting cracked, because it's the first protection that uses on-the-run (realtime) encryption, and as we knows AES and alike symmetrical protections are almost impossbile to bypass, other than to brute force they key length (which takes millions of years, literally). UWP games also have pretty big performance impact because of realtime encryption, that's why others (as well as Denuvo) dont use this approach. But if every copy protectoin maker would enable this approach en masse, then that would be a big gameover in the world of x86 instruction set era for cracking. Microsoft can allow to play around with this protection, because they don't care if it impacts their sales. Their income comes from Windows and Office.
Everything else is just a nice touch. But many other smaller firms couldn't allow playing with taking such draconian protection measures that have the potential to hurt sales. Denuvo protects a company's interests, which in this case is to maximize their profits through sales. Who'd guess games are made to generate profit, like any other business, and there's heavy costs attached to them! I'd say Denuvo has been a success, given the time it's taking to crack games with it. What's sad is that people such as yourself think developers make games to entertain you for free. They're just such nice lads that wouldn't mind making their families live under a bridge and starve, just so you could play their creations free of charge.
Now, I'm not an hypocrit, I occasionaly play some pirated copies (FC Primal will be one of them), but I don't mind at all buying a game for a reasonable price if it's prooven to be good. Especially with all the sales we have nowadays. Just as an example, I've purchased Doom, Hitman and XCOM 2 in the past 2 weeks alone. If a game is good, I'll acknowledge it with my wallet so they can keep up with the good work.
